Pretty little Isabelle’s mother, Ginger, writes:
“I wanted to express my sincerest gratitude for the great customer service, exceptional quality, and unsurpassed craftsmanship that I received from One Small Child. With such a great selection, I had a very difficult time deciding which gown to order. After selecting the ‘Candice‘. I was then concerned with my limited time frame and appropriate size for my daughter. My daughter was six months old when she was baptized and everyone says she is a very big baby. However, after reading your very detailed sizing instructions, I went with exactly what was shown on the chart. The dress fit her perfect…I was so pleased. I ordered the dress and, surprisingly, it arrived TWO days early. Unfortunately, when I tried the dress on her, she spit up carrots all over the front. I took it to our local cleaners and they were able to remove the entire stain!! I now see the humor in it all and I know that this is how memories are made.

Camilla Silk Christening Gown
Look at those eyes…I get lost in them every time I do! Our sweet little model, Harper, is shown here wearing Mariana, the newest addition to the One Small Child christening gown collection.
I adore so many things about this lovely gown. Lustrous silk dupioni cut in a simple style speaks of elegance and luxury without pretension. The gentle curve of the waistband is echoed on the brim of the bonnet and a vintage-inspired glossy lace is nestled at the waist for a truly unique finishing touch. The silk ribbon ties on the bonnet are soft as rose petals. The hem is finished with dual Venise lace on each side of a 100% pure silk ribbon, giving it just the right amount of detail.

Jessa Christening Gown
Well, it’s a new year, and one of our goals for 2008 is to cut down on the time it takes to cut, sew, and ship our non-stock items. Thanks to the efforts of our fabulous sewing team over the past few weeks, we are pleased today to announce that our exclusive Jessa christening gown is now an in-stock item!
Since we’re talking about the Jessa gown, I have to admit that it’s one of my favorites–it’s very closely based on the one-of-a-kind gown I created for my first baby, and it makes my heart smile every time I see one of these gowns in our production line or being inspected and prepped for shipping. I like to imagine all the pretty babies who get to wear this special christening gown, and the ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ of all their loved ones. Sigh. I just love what we do!
